Your Missions 🚀
As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and support across commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters with a focus on SaaS operations. You will work closely with internal teams including Sales, Product, Security, and Compliance to manage risk while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial & Contractual
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (SaaS MSAs, SLAs, DPAs, reseller/partner agreements, NDAs, etc.)
- Support the sales cycle by enabling deal closures in a timely and risk-mitigated manner
- Establish and maintain contract templates and playbooks
Data Privacy & Compliance
- Advise on data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and oversee compliance with global privacy regulations
- Draft and maintain privacy policies, cookie notices, and security terms
- Coordinate with the DPO, engineering, and compliance teams on incident responses and audits
Corporate & Regulatory
- Assist with company secretarial work and corporate governance for international entities
- Manage regulatory filings and compliance in relevant jurisdictions
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting SaaS operations
Internal Advisory & Risk Management
- Provide proactive legal counsel to product, marketing, and HR teams
- Develop internal training and guidance on legal and regulatory topics
- Manage external counsel where necessary
Your profile 🔍
- Law degree from an accredited institution and admitted to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction
- 5–7 years’ PQE, ideally with in-house experience at a SaaS or tech company
- You have strong experience with SaaS contracts, privacy law, and international commercial law
- You have knowledge of IP, licensing, cloud services, and open-source issues
- You have excellent negotiation and drafting skills
- You have a business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance risk and commercial goals
Bonus:
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and information security regulations
- Multilingual capabilities, especially in jurisdictions where the company operates
